Oh, Oh!

An after thought to the previous post - if you're in some other place (which quantifies really as not living in my bedroom - can be Ontario or Canada, but really I was thinking outside of Ancaster) and you don't know me, but you want to get on the postcard list you can send your postcard to the following address and I'll get it:

Hi! Thanks for reading. If I don't know you personally I'm still glad you read my blog. I know a couple of locations keep popping up and I'm pretty sure I don't know anyone who lives there, so really, thanks. If you have any feedback, requests, etc feel free to comment.

I Thought You Should Know

My brother is on a (baseball) road trip right now in Branson, MI. His team is staying at the hotel that holds the world's largest banjo. Now that's pride!

The Great Valentines Dump of 07

I tried to get cupcakes last night. It didn't work. Here is what I encountered...

That is my car.

That is snow up to my knees in the path to the driveway.

Trying to shovel out my car.

The bbq.

I had to leave the house today for allergy shots...

We couldn't see out any of our windows.

My car.

The rest of the driveway

The end of the driveway.

The end of the post (the rest of the pics can be seen here).

Dr. Jacob P. Ellens, Vice-President (Academic)

I couldn't find a picture of him, and I know he had little choice. But, the man is now up to living legend status - 2.5 snow days in one semester. I stand in awe (actually, lay in bed still in my pajamas, but whose counting).

Cupcakes

Sometimes there is a raging snow storm outside. And sometimes I've been sick for a few days and am only getting back to real food today. But sometimes you eat a bowl of soup, it fills you up and you want cupcakes. Sometimes I want cupcakes. Sometimes I want to brave the storm and get myself some preservative laden hostess cupcakes. Sometimes I'm worried about getting eaten by a polar bear.

This amount of snow reminds me of this day a few years ago.

Falls

A few years ago there was a blogging trend to put a World66 map on your blog with all the countries you'd traveled to. It was neat. You had to join World66 to do it. I still get their newsletters - I never read them - except the one for this month. The subject line of the email was Rome through Italy - Eat Lasagna in Florence. Which I thought was pretty timely considering my closest friend is in Florence right now. So I read the newsletter and I get down to the bottom and oh, the member of the month is from Hamilton and there is this blurb about him and waterfalls in Hamilton. Oh Florence and Hamilton.

Anyway, aside from that connection I thought this guy's site was really awesome and you should check it out. http://www.hamiltonnature.org/waterfalls/slideshow/slideshow.htm

Snow

I'm going to be sorely disappointed if we get this pile of snow and the only thing it does make me dig, shovel and leave early for everything. Jacob Ellens, if you read my blog - multiple snow days in a semester is not a bad thing, in fact, it will make you a living legend.

Amen!

I know many of my readers would agree with me that Redeemer needs to pick up this policy for its employees.

MRI

MRI is done. Piercings were removed and replaced as needed. Appropriate doctors should have results by the end of the week.

Gifts

If you're aware of your spiritual gifts and use them, do you ever wish you didn't have certain gifts - 'cause they cause you to see or know things that you didn't necessarily want to know or deal with?

MRI

MRI Monday night for my back...whoot!

I'm gonna have to get someone to tape 24 for me, but these are the sacrifices one must make for the sake of the greater good.

Hahaha, my original MRI appt was April 13th at 8:30pm. Choir members will pick up on this - that is precisely in the middle of our final concert. Not such a good time. So I'm pretty happy with 2 months earlier and not interfering with choir.

Alive

I made it to my parents' - past the numerous multi car accidents and so much wind and such a little car.

I survived OUCF - pictures, so many pictures later. But I can improvise and conduct now.

G-town, The Burg, What?

Hey, hey all y'all. OUCF (ontario university choir festival) is this weekend in Guelph. We go to get our learn on for Saturday, have our dance and eat on for Saturday night and then we get our perform on on Sunday afternoon.

For me I leave straight from that concert to go to Cobourg for the Mike Frost conference. I'll be back in time for choir on Tuesday evening.

So much brain and heart filling with the trip to Mecca, and this weekend and then soon ....choir tour! Waaaahoooo!

Oh, Yeah, I Forgot To Tell You

I forgot to make the official announcment...

(no, I'm not engaged)

I'm going to be in Hamilton next year. I haven't got the fullness of everything that I'll be doing. But I will be doing my two classes at RUC, some CITB things, studying Photoshop and Premiere and working. There could be a few other things in there, but that's all I know for now. If you happen to know of any Hammer jobs that would like me for the summer full time and part time for the rest of the year, you let me know.

Also, does anyone have any sexy, black, dress boots in a 9 or 10 that I could borrow for a banquet that is this Saturday night?

I love all of you - even the ones I don't know, infact especially you, because you have no reason to be reading this and yet you are. So much love for you.

Special

This is post number 8oo. The 24th of January was my 3 year bloggerversary. Go me. Go blogging!
