Not The Peaceful Night He Bargained For

There was a spider in my blue kazoo.  He got rocket launched across the room as I blew my blue kazoo.

Oskie What What?

Once upon a time on Saturday night (technically it was early, early Sunday morning), I was minding my own business being asleep. Then all of a sudden I wake up and I can't breath without coughing (I am an asthmatic recovering from a chest cold). Even just shallow nasal breathing sends me into fits of in which I can barely catch my breath. A little bit of inhaler time and some self talk reminding me that I was not dying solved that. But I slept like restless crap after that.

That kinda set up the suckiness for my morning - feeling just off and bleh and bleh and gross. So when you're feeling like that, there is really only one thing that you can fully throw yourself into - opposite action all the way.... Hamilton Ti-Cats playoff football. Duh.

Forgive Me Internet For I Have Sinned

A few weeks ago one of my roommates lost their phone. It sucked, he looked everywhere for it, vigorously retraced his steps and nothing, no phone. So he took the opportunity that life handed him to get an iPhone. It's been quite the event in the house to have it here. He's been downloading new apps every night and shares with great enthusiasm the slick features of each one. As you can imagine, I have been a wee be jealous and coveting this sweet piece of technology. He got it on Saturday and it wasn't until last night that I finally broke down and asked if I could play with it. Mmm. When he said I could play it with, he told me he wasn't responsible for puting temptation in my hands. I told him if I was going to make an expensive Apple purchase it would be of a Macbook pro, preloaded with Final Cut.

I'm Sure It Would Be Unholy

I'm in a hotel in Cornwall right now. Its nice. And we don't have to have wheels rolling until 10am. Mmmmm.

I just wanted to share a little funny thing from yesterday's drive from Hamilton to Cornwall - on a coach bus with 35ish people on it.

So we do a thing where more senior-ish students interview rookie choir members so that the entire choir can get to know them. Its pretty tender and usually very hilarious. It often happens closer to the end of tour because we have the most bus time then. But our biggest chunks of bus time happen to be now, so we're doing them now.

One of the questions asked to the freshmen was: if you could combine any two animals and make a superbeast, what would they be and what would you call it? As you can imagine this got some pretty funny and really strange answers from interviews already revealed. A little later after 5 of the interviews had been read over the bus mic, one of our resident hilarious sopranos, Janine came up and said that she had something really important to say to everyone.

She got on the mic and said that one of the first year sopranos had been further discussing the superbeast question - and they wondered what kind of a superbeast would be made by combining Dr T and myself.

cough.

In Serious Need

I just really feel that I have a serious need for a Sugar Daddy, or really a hard core committed Sugar Momma. Though Daddy just seems more natural. And I think I have brought this subject up more than once.

I was just thinking about how I'm singing in front of a bunch of people tonight and would love to look nice. But due to weight fluctuations and budgetary matters, well I have a hole in my wardrobe called Fall/Winter dress clothes. If only I could attract the sugar like my brother does. He attracted generous Sugar that liked Banana Republic. Yeah... that's good Sugar.

Whatever, I'm Western and gr/n-eedy. (But for reals, if there's going to hors d'oeuvres and a keynote, I should look nice.)

An Open Letter To Pointy Bugs and Bugs With Teeth

Dear yous guys,

My ass is not your playground. Or your buffet. Please stop biting me there. It's getting embarrassing and painful.

Don't make me break out the deet,

One Thing, Not the Other

So you go to Pony Villa to show a friend your hair cut and you come back with an open basket weave on your ankle.
