Yesterday after the OCSTA conference was over, Katrina popped by the Choral Library to see me. We were talking for a little while and she asked what my weekend was like. As I was going over what Sunday and Monday looked like I realized a conflict and then began to verbally work it out. Kurt then looked at me, looked at the time and then simply reached out and hugged me and said, "I don't think your life will ever not be busy." We laughed and then she had to go.
Give yourself a pat on the back right now if you've had a similar conversation with me.
Give yourself a little hug if you're still friends with me after multiple conversations like this.
Give yourself breakfast in bed and a foot massage if you love me in spite of it.

Please Meet My New Friend Greg. I Love Her.
This is Greg.

Greg is a girl. And what a girl! She was born on Saturday morning - yup - 07/07/07. Turns out her real name is Madeleine Emma Legg. She was 7lbs 10oz.
Greg is the product of a soprano and a tenor. This means that she will need all the husky alto loving she can get from her sagely Tante Stew.

Greg is still pretty fresh to the world. So we should probably pray for her and for her excited new parents.

I didn't want to bring this up, but well, Greg has pretty big feet for a wee lass. I'm sure she'll grow into them and become the best clogger, speed skater or water skier money can buy!

Greg is pretty neat and I think we all agree that she can stick around. I'd say she's in pretty good hands.

So yeah: 2-4-6-8-Go Greg!

You Might Be A Farmer's Daughter If...
I went to bed last night in my pajamas that consisted of cow spotted flannel boxer shorts and a sweatshirt. In the middle of the night I woke up really cold - especially my feet. So in a sleepy stupor I reached to my dresser and pulled out the thickest pair of socks I could feel. This morning when I got up I had to laugh - the socks are also cow spotted with pink toes and bottoms, complete with little milk bottle shaped plastic for grip.
Deranged cow?
Deranged cow?

Snow
I'm going to be sorely disappointed if we get this pile of snow and the only thing it does make me dig, shovel and leave early for everything. Jacob Ellens, if you read my blog - multiple snow days in a semester is not a bad thing, in fact, it will make you a living legend.
