Soooo, last weekend a couple of roommates' parents brought their bought up to our place and we took it out. Possibly at one point we found ourselves in a week channel meeting some sizable swells coming in from Lake Ontario. Here is some topsy turny (mostly what you'll have to do with your head) footage:
(UPDATE - you can actually watch it now)

Maaaaaarching To Which End
Psssst, hey, March, yeah, you, I gots a question for you; it may involve a deal. Ok - so you know how you have that Lion/Lamb-Lamb/Lion thing? Well, which is this? 'Cause I'd like to propose that we call this one Lion. When it feels like -25 and the wind gives me an ice cream headache it reminds me of lions. Ok, it doesn't remind me of lions, it reminds me that Jesus hasn't come back yet. But you get the picture.
Let's just make it easy for you. We'll all say that you came in like a terrible, carniverous, fearsome lion. There is no need for precipitation of the frozen variety to prove your point. I'm already convinced. So you be all scary for a bit longer and then you can go right ahead and make a gradual and seamless transition into lambliness. Deal? Deal.
I'm glad we had this little chat.

Flaky Hippie Girl
I know I'm a total flake. I am more than aware of this. Part of it is a genetic thing. Its cool.
Maybe yesterday my flaky hippie side dancing out - I was sitting at my kitchen table/home office which is right beside the door to the balcony. There was a lot of wind yesterday, and there are a lot of trees near me. I could hear the big sweeping wind go through the trees and to me it sounded like waves (of water). If you through in the gulls (and the pigeons?) and the sounds of children playing then (I thought) when you close your eyes, it could totally sound like you're near water.
Maybe when Mrs. L. came to pick me up for our belated birthday dinner date, I made her come out to the balcony with me and close her eyes and humour me by telling me that the wind sounded like water.
I'm not sure 'regular' people do that.

Bondage and Freedom
I heard a great sermon on Labour Day weekend about rest. I won't summarize it for you, but if you're really interested you can find it here.
The result of having heard this sermon is a lot of thought on true sabbath rest and what I can do to set up for it.
The result of that is this: I am now laptop free on Sundays.
I had to bend it a little for the first CITB service day, but otherwise it has been quite successful. Yesterday was the 3rd week into this experiment/project/life change.
So if you want to get a hold of me on a Sunday don't look for me online. Call my home, call my cell or drop by.
I'll keep you updated on how this goes and how it changes things for me.

The Wind
I know we need the wind for things like moving trash; helping to blow fashion models' hair; fart removal and drifting snow around, but I'd kind of like it if the wind would slow down a little when I am biking to and from school.
Mr Wind? I really seem to notice you when I come onto Kitty Murray, and that is when i have consecutive hills . Could you tone it down a notch? Oh, and when I'm coming home and almost the entire ride is up hill, well, if you could stop trying to blow me over I'd like that. I'll recommend you to all my friends.....Just like this, "Hey! Have you heard of the wind? He's cool!" Ok? Thanks Mr. Windywinderson you're nice.
